IoMP 69: WHYBLT - July 2025 (The Good Soup Edition)
Not every month in metal brings a flood of groundbreaking releases—and July 2025 was one of those months. But when the new stuff doesn’t deliver, that just gives Collin and Tom even more reason to dive into listener requests, explore old favorites, and dig up some truly wild records for this month’s “What Have You Been Listening To?” episode.
In this edition, you’ll get a listener-requested breakdown, Collin falling head-over-boots for thrash legends, Tom revisiting the past, and a crust punk album so stupid, Tom questioned his entire reviewing career.
You’ll also hear about Pig Pen, a hardcore band fronted by Canadian chef/actor Matty Matheson (yes, really), Collin’s regret about sleeping on Jungle Rot, and so much more!
This is one of those episodes where things spiral fast, and hilarity ensues. If you’ve ever wanted a mix of serious metal discussion and dumb album titles that make you question humanity, this one’s for you.
🎧 Hit play, headbang responsibly, and prepare to yell "WHAT IS THIS?!" at least twice.
See you in August.
