IoMP 154: What Is The Most Metal Guitar Hero Game? Part 9
The Influencers of Metal Podcast returns with Part 9 of the ongoing mission to determine the most metal Guitar Hero game ever made — and this time the spotlight lands on Guitar Hero 5.
At first glance, Guitar Hero 5 looks massive. The setlist is huge, the DLC library is even bigger, and the game features legendary names like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Children of Bodom, Darkest Hour, Rammstein, Dethklok, Motörhead, Avenged Sevenfold and more.
But there’s one major problem… Only about 10 percent of the main game is actually metal.
So the debate quickly turns into one of QUALITY versus QUANTITY. Does a smaller number of truly heavy songs outweigh a broader but softer overall setlist? Is Guitar Hero 5 heavier than World Tour? Does DLC save it? And just how much can Amon Amarth and Dethklok carry an entire game on their backs?
This episode is chaotic, nerdy, dumb as hell, and somehow surprisingly analytical all at once.
If you grew up with Guitar Hero, this series is basically mandatory listening. So hit play and stick with us as we find out who is the Most Metal Guitar Hero Game of All Time!
