Armored Assault "Blood Queen" <REVIEW>
As you can see, Rafiki has gone mad! To be fair, Simba did try to protest, but looking at the blood queen it-uh… didn’t end well.
This first official review of 2021 was requested by Pindy, the vocalist for the 5-piece thrash metal band Armored Assault, who said “Hey Metal Robot” (which is my legal name in case you were wondering) “I’m a big fan of your reviews and writing in general and wanted to share with you my band’s latest album in hopes that you would at the very least just check out and provide us with your feedback or have it written up. We would really appreciate it, thanks for your time and consideration.”
So as I said earlier, Armored Assault is a 5-piece thrash metal band from Chicago. These mid-westerners have been going at it non-stop for 17 years and have put out 2 official releases during that time, being Dead before Dawn and Call The Beast. All leading up to the band’s third release in 2021 Blood Queen, an album with 7 tracks and over 30 minutes of thrash metal. But, according to the press release, this album is said to quote “mark a new dawn for Armored Assault, with an onslaught of regenerated riffs and a barrage of smashing percussion to back it up.”
“Armored Assault’s latest musical endeavor will undoubtedly have everyone shouting “ALL HAIL THE BLOOD QUEEN!”
Okay, little self-indulgent but that’s fine. So full disclosure, I have not heard Dead before Dawn or Call the beast as of writing this review. Which means I’m going in as a fresh listener. So, with everything I just told you in mind, does Blood Queen meet those standards for Armored Assault? How does it fair for a new listener? Check out the video below to find out, or click HERE.
