Seattle, Washington's Cycles of the Damned invited you into their realm with their debut A Time To Survive, released digitally on October 12th from Incineration Ceremony Recordings, the brainchild label of the legendary Tad Doyle. They brought their message in roaring riffs, demolishing drums and bass, and a creatively disturbing ambient landscaping that defies the boundaries of our vision of dystopia.
They now bring you this same aural crushing in an exclusive vinyl treatment from The Netherlands-based D.H.U. Records label. Cycles of the Damned successfully create a visceral experience sewn into intensely heavy and dark music. Showcasing a life experience in today's world with malicious guitar onslaughts, hypnotic primeval rhythms, and despondently somber interludes, the band creates the necessary chaos to violently break through the human subtopia of mediocrity into a new world with fresh, open eyes.
Founding members Dave Krone (Guitars/Vocals), Mike Lee (Bass/Vocals), and Keith Greer (Percussion) evolved past their original formation as Black Bone Exorcism, leaping forth from those years of musical craft and now rise to a higher level of heavy.
The physical format record is limited to 66 copies worldwide and comes on 180gr Crystal Clear Lathe Cut 12" vinyl pressed by Royal Mint Records. Housed in a single jacket sleeve with 3mm spine and Black Flood inside, it includes a double sided full colour insert. The vinyl format has a condensed four-song track-list, as follows:
'A Time To Survive' Vinyl Tracklist:
Side A:
Cycles of the Damned
Those Left Behind
Side B:
A Time to Survive
The Last Transmission
With cover artwork by Adelyn Krone, with art production and photography by Chris Schanz, A Time To Survive was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Tad Doyle at his Witch Ape Studio in Seattle, WA. All songs were written and arranged by Cycles of the Damned, with appearances in recording from Brandon Wilder (guitars) and Mischa Kianne (violins).
The album A Time To Survive is available now from Incineration Ceremony Recordings, with the limited vinyl lathe pressing available globally on Friday, November 15th, from D.H.U. Records.

"It’s as though you’ve been transported beyond the now to a time and place when the destructive intent of our collective words and actions has finally given way to a wasted earth, as though the planet could finally bear it no more. ...Tad Doyle’s label Incineration Ceremony Records has quite a prize on its hands" ~ Doomed & Stoned
"One might go on through the thesaurus and find every other term to substitute for “brutal” in describing the aural oppression Cycles of the Damned emit or the frighteningly methodical nature of their delivery, but if you don’t get the idea by now, there’s probably nothing I can say that’s going to be as effective as hearing the music itself, so dig in..." ~ The Obelisk
"This is drenched in doom sensibilities as well sludge qualities and a certain amount of unquestionable angst. Cinematic soundscapes are introduced often, showcasing psychedelic moments amidst unbound atmosphere... Fluidity is uncommonly commendable and I would suggest an afternoon free from distraction to be able to let the power of this release (as a whole, not track by track if avoidable) sink in." ~ CultMetalFlix
