And honestly? The deeper they got into the discussion, the more it started making horrifying amounts of sense.
Because think about it, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer theme already sounds like gothic punk rock waiting to explode into metal, the original Power Rangers theme basically was metal for children, and TMNT deserves the Blind Guardian treatment immediately.
The episode quickly spirals into a nostalgia-fueled fever dream featuring everything from Daredevil and Teen Titans to Dave the Barbarian, The Littlest Hobo, American Dragon: Jake Long, and Total Drama Island.
Beyond the chaos, though, this episode taps into something genuinely fun: how memorable TV themes used to be. Whether it was cartoons, sitcoms, superhero shows, or weird Canadian staples, these songs stuck in our brains for decades because they had personality. And honestly? A shocking number of them would absolutely destroy as metal covers.
If you grew up in the late ‘90s or 2000s, this episode is basically a nostalgia speedrun with breakdowns.
