Siren's Rain "Rise Forth" <REVIEW>
Sirens Rain is a folk *ish* metal band from Lakewood Washington. The band consists of 5 members, all of which playing various instruments of choice, including traditional metal instruments like guitar, bass, drums and vocals, but also bringing in more folk instruments like the harp, mandolin, and the Nyckelharpa.
Anyways, the band formed in 2014 by the bassist as well as the main vocalist William Beritich and Rena Hellzinger. Since forming, they’ve kidnapped 3 more people, gave them instruments that Eluveitie probably told them about, and took on the folk world with 2 Eps (Beneath the Narrows and Nightmares from the Abyss in 2016 and 2019 respectively), and now this year, they’re bringing forth their first full length Rise Forth. An album that “delves into the themes of abandonment, betrayal, hope, despair, and resilience”. The promo also said that these guys will deliver heavy riffs, haunting vocals and ethereal melodies using a vast array of folk instruments. Well, how is this going to sound? Will this be good?
