Pterodactyl Problems announce 'Rock N' Roll Is A Drag Episode 4'
Toronto hard rockers Pterodactyl Problems announce episode 4 of their live show “Rock N’ Roll is a Drag” entitled ‘Cabaret’. Building from the success of the last episode, the show promises a show “combining drag and burlesque into one incredible night of live rock and roll.“ The event will also showcase the unique intrigue of The Universe Featuring Ray, along with some guest musicians taking the stage. When asked further about the event, Pterodactyl Problems drummer Oliver Salathiel stated that it’s “not just a fun and insane night of rock and roll and party, it’s also a very technically impressive show to experience.
“It’s a lot of fun to watch people go nuts when we start playing The Killers, or Nirvana, or Rage Against The Machine,” he continued, “and realize that they’re hearing the real vocal tracks that they love so much. It’s definitely something people need to experience.“ The Toronto drummer wanted to emphasize that this is about having fun and going crazy on the stage. “The whole reason we do this is to let loose and encourage others to let loose as well. The atmosphere ends up being a pretty whacky intermingling of all sorts of stuff, but it’s all very friendly and supportive.”
Given that this is the 4th episode of the series, naturally it begs the question of what could be done differently from episodes 1-3. “A slightly new format to the show and some wicked songs [Pterodactyl Problems] never performed before…” Salathiel continued as he described the further details of the theme. “It is called ‘Cabaret’, after all, the weather’s getting colder, so I think it’s quite fitting. As for the new songs though, you’ll have to come and see. It’s going to be a show to remember.”
