Blissful Stream prepare for ‘When The Wolves Start To Circle’
Sounds of the frozen tundra, the hopelessness; the ever consuming grey. When one hears the long-awaited full-length album of Blissful Stream, you can’t help but feel that this is a companion for all lost souls and nomads alike worldwide. A soundtrack for the lonely wild ones who either stand or fall in this vicious world, while evil is always at your heels relentlessly. Folk tales and songs from a dark bard, encouraging one to sing along as death approaches, unshaken.
Harkening back to a time where hard rock and metal was simple and pure, Martin Sällström has certainly come a long way from his 2016 debut EP ‘Ascending Demons’. Once part of the underground Swedish black metal mystics Pest, Blissful Stream is a more reflective animal. Sällström’s vocals come across as painfully honest, emotional, and clear. The music, direct and unfettered, while very infectious and serving the overall essence of hard rock and proto-metal. Shades of black metal, punk, death rock, and gothic rock help paint a fuller picture that ties the whole album together.
Their previous offerings as the aforementioned debut, 2017’s split EP with Sweden’s Lightsabres ‘Devil’s Night To All Souls’, and 2018’s ‘Dead Religious’ have been cult favourites for many followers, praising the catchiness and frank rawness of each subsequent release. With ‘When The Wolves Start To Circle’, the time for Blissful Stream to captivate the wider metal and rock audiences worldwide is now at hand.
The album is set to release February 14th of this year in digital, as well as limited cassette and CD formats.
