I'm Almost Honest... I'm "Dancing Shaman and the Psychedelic Cactus".
No, that’s not an innuendo of something, that’s my way of showing my lack of comedic ideas for titles. What was I supposed to talk about again? OH YEAH! Almost Honest, the stoner metal outfit recently released a music video for their song “Dancing Shaman and the Psychedelic Cactus” on Friday, which you can watch below. The song taken from their second full length album Seiches and Sirens.
The three piece have begun to make a name for themselves as of late, bringing energetic and memorable live performances across the entire east coast. After listening to this song, I can see the appeal. The song itself sets the mood for you as you are taken on a journey that can only truly experience while high off legal Canadian weed. I, myself, didn’t listen to this while high, however it’s still worth a shot if you wanna give it a try.
It’s a good thing these guys are making a name for themselves in the metal circuit, as they totally deserve it. And they have, allegedly fans are unable to leave a show of theirs without feeling happy and gitty inside (probably because their sound gets you high off second hand weed (or is it 3rd hand? I never know, what’s it called when you get high off the music?)). They’ve been featured on multiple publications such as "Classic Rock Magazine”, “Doomed & Stoned“, and “The Obelisk“, and have played with bands like Revocation, Astronoid, and Moon Tooth. I recommend keeping your eyes and ears on these guys in the future for whatever they put out next, just make sure you’re not driving while doing it, that can be hazardous.
