Hydraform "Self-Titled" <REVIEW>
If you know anything about my music tastes, it’s that I love a variety of melody, but I also love to get technical. It’s a shame that the two worlds will never be able to meet. They remind me of two loves separated by an ocean, longingly looking in the distance as they hope that someday, somehow, they will be united in a union of romantic imagery while Dimebag Darrell himself plays a beautiful solo to commemorate the occasion… But of course, I can’t get Dimebag Darrell to do that, do you have any idea how many soul coins it would cost to get him for 1 second? I’d be in debt!
But we can at least see the marriage and subsequent boning of melody and technical work with Hydraform, a metal band from Denver, Colorado. They’ve already hit the scene back in 2014 and have been unable to stop from giving excessively aggressive and catchy music. At least, that’s what I can assume I’m going to experience listening to the bands new self-titled EP. Based on the fact that the vocals have been compared to Lamb of God, Tool and System of a Down, once again the program has officially got another band with big wet dreams of big name bands. Our job now is to determine whether or not they live up to the task. Is Hydraform up for this? Check out the video above, or click the link here to find out.
