Chaos Over Cosmos "The Ultimate Multiverse" <REVIEW>
Chaos Over Cosmos is a progressive metal band with no clear destination, as both of the members live on different places on the map, but their guitarist Rafal Bowman has requested I take a look at their next album The Ultimate Multiverse. Now you might be thinking, “Chaos Over Cosmos”? Where have I heard this name? Is that a quote from a Dream Theater song or something?
Well A: Given their sounds, I wouldn’t be surprised if that name came from Dream Theater, it would be in theme. But B: You’re not deceived! I actually reviewed the last Chaos over Cosmos album The Unknown Voyage on the channel last year. If I remember correctly, I think I called it “What Dream Theater would sound like on acid”, which, looking back, still stands.
So, Chaos over Cosmos is back! This time with a new guy on vocals. And in the email Rafal sent me requesting this, he claims that “it’s heavier and sometimes close to death or metalcore, but still with a progressive style” Also he mentions that two songs on this album were also on the previous album but now the vocals, lyrics, and other stuff was changed or added. So I was happy to see this in my inbox before… now I’m very intrigued to see what you’ve got this time Rafal. So does The Ultimate Multiverse live up to those expectations? Check out the video above, or click the link here.
You should also check out my review of The Unknown Voyage if you haven’t yet, or just haven’t seen it in a while.
