Progressive metal band Joviac released "Misplaced"
Finnish progressive metal band Joviac released a new single and music video “Misplaced”. The band released their second album "Here And Now" earlier this year via Inverse Records, though “Misplaced” is not a part of that record, meaning it’s a chance for some more prog goodness!
Viljami Wenttola's comments: "Misplaced is an intensely personal song for me. I wrote the lyrics when I was in a dark place in my life. I was dealing with the aftermath of a breakup and since music is a form of therapy for me, those emotions leaked into this song. I was dealing with a lot of guilt because I was the one who ended the relationship even though I cared for that person deeply. So I painted this picture in my head of myself as some kind of villain, but ultimately it just came down to the fact that emotionally I wasn't in the right place at the right time in my life."
Joviac's gig at Tiivistämö, Helsinki on Friday September 11th is streamed free worldwide. So don't forget to check the streaming links on Joviac's Facebook page.
The drums were recorded at the pristine Electric Fox Studios in Jyväskylä and the track was mastered by Teemu Liekkala (Red Eleven) and mixed by Janne Korpela.
