Disconnected Souls unveil a piano and vocal rendition of 'Divergence'
'Divergence' is one of the most popular tracks by the genre breaking metallers. Holly Royle created this emotional, stripped back, keyboard and vocal rendition to give the track a different feel. 'Divergence' is taken from their debut EP Warring Elements which is re-releasing on a limited number of CDs on the 10th September 2021.
Holly comments: “I've been spending so much more time at my keyboard over the past few months, and I began breaking down our tracks as a means of practising. 'Divergence' is our most popular track, at least according to our streaming data, and I find it lends itself to reinterpretation. This is very much a stripped back, one take, piece that isn't supposed to be 'perfect' but gives an insight into our composition methods and shows a different side of our sound."
Genre breaking metal outfit Disconnected Souls are re-releasing their debut EP Warring Elements on CD, available worldwide.

Disconnected Souls aimed to combine three great pillars of music – metal, classical and electronic. The outfit have evolved past this to combine further styles and genres including rap sections. From the epic synth intro ‘Emergence’, flowing into the ethereal ‘Divergence’, through the utterly heavy of the title track and softer ballad that is ‘Shatter’, the EP explores a wide spectrum of the band’s capabilities.
The seven track EP tells the story of two opposing forces as they battle with each other and attempt to make sense of the world around them. It isn’t a straight-forward as good versus evil, it is far more complex than that.
